Is massage therapy covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP)?

Massage therapy treatments are not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health benefit plans do provide coverage for all or part of the cost when the service is provided by a RMT. In most cases, a physician’s referral or prescription is not required to access these benefits.
